A DAY IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WITH BIKINI EMPIRE

What happens when STATEMENTS MAGAZINE editor heads down to the Dominican Republic to welcome in the New Year and score some surf? You do what the locals do, the locals just happen to be the ripper surf girls of Bikini Empire. Lucky for us and you they welcomed us to tag along for a photo shoot for their new 2017 spring release. These girls are all about good vibes and enjoying every second of everyday.

We met up at dawn and spent the morning surfing at Encuentro where the waves were not the best but the girls were all smiles.

After breakfast we headed our way East for Playa Grande. We checked the surf, enjoyed a Pina Colada or two, and snapped a few shots around the tide pools.

To end the day we made our way to Lagoon DuDu, which is a beautiful park with crystal clear fresh water lagoons. One of the lagoons water goes down almost 200 feet and has a zip line with a 30 ft drop to enter.
