Surfing Bali- Dry Season

During the dry season, which typically runs from April to October, Bali's west coast becomes a surfer's paradise with consistent waves and ideal surfing conditions. Here are some of the best places to surf in Bali during the dry season:

  1. Canggu: Canggu is known for its black sand beaches and a variety of surf breaks suitable for all levels of surfers. Berawa Beach and Echo Beach are popular spots, offering both left and right-hand waves.

  2. Uluwatu: Uluwatu is famous for its world-class waves and stunning cliffs. The surf breaks here are more suitable for experienced surfers due to the powerful swells and sharp reef bottom. Uluwatu is home to the iconic Uluwatu Temple, making it a scenic location to surf.

  3. Padang Padang: Just a short distance from Uluwatu, Padang Padang is another top surf spot known for its hollow barrels. It can get crowded, but if you catch it on the right day, it's a wave you won't forget.

  4. Impossibles: As the name suggests, this break is not for beginners. Found between Bingin and Padang Padang, it offers fast, challenging waves that will test even experienced surfers.

  5. Bingin Beach: This is a reef break that can be surfed by intermediate to advanced surfers. It's a consistent spot with both left and right-hand waves.

  6. Balangan: With its white sandy beach and long left-hand waves, Balangan is a favorite spot for surfers of all levels. It can get crowded during peak times, but the waves make it worth it.

  7. Keramas: Located on the east coast, Keramas is one of Bali's best right-hand breaks. It's a high-performance wave and is often used for professional surfing competitions.

  8. Nusa Dua: Nusa Dua offers a variety of breaks suitable for different skill levels. It's a good option if you're looking for less crowded surf spots during the dry season.

Remember that while Bali offers great surf opportunities during the dry season, the conditions can vary, so always check the surf forecast before heading out. Additionally, be mindful of your own surfing abilities and choose spots that match your skill level to ensure a safe and enjoyable surfing experience.
